Birch Tree Scene

Sue Martell is masterful in seeing the beauty at the shoreline and in the forests around her home near Pocomoonshine Lake.   Sue creates small and glorious fabric pieces —  quilted portraits of birches and shorelines, allowing us to bring into our homes the silence  of the woods and rhythms water’s edge — along with the fragrance of balsam— to enjoy  the simple sights and smells of Maine, even when we can’t be Downeast ourselves.
